With just over six weeks to its 2019 edition, taking place from April 22 to 26, the Tour of the Alps is already – metaphorically – on its way on the Brennero highway, backbone of the three Euroregional territories – Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino – where the international cycling race has unfolded in the last three years, from the moment it took the baton from the Giro del Trentino to widen its borders and perspectives.
Since March 6th, a videoclip dedicated to the Tour of the Alps, featuring charming images of the territories to be crossed from the 2019 edition of the race, has been aired on the screens of the MoveTV circuit in 22 service station (equally divided between the northbound and southbound directions) throughout the Brennero highway.
Move TV was created to provide information on the territory, viability and weather. The network, continuously on air from 6 to 22 every day, broadcasts a 15-minute loop on the mega screens placed in the restoration areas of the service stations. A Brennero Highway’s research shows that the users’ average stay in the restoration areas amounts to about 13 minutes.
Once again, the Brennero Highway will collaborate with the Tour of the Alps in several initiatives, before, during and after the event, with the goal of raising awareness on sustainable mobility and the risks of drunk driving.
“Our collaboration with A22 embodies values and meanings that go beyond the mere sports event – told Giacomo Santini, president of Tour of the Alps’ organizing company GS Alto Garda – and these new initiatives are a clear indication of that.”
