Vittoria Servizio Corse – official partner of UEC (Union Européenne de Cyclisme) in all the international events – further strengthened its positioning in World-class cycling, adding another front-line event to its calendar. The Italian company signed a three-year agreement with the Tour of the Alps, the euro-regional race organized by GS Alto Garda.

The international stage race, formerly Giro del Trentino, unfolding through five exciting race days from April 22nd to April 26th, represents an important springboard ahead of the Giro d’Italia. The euro-regional event received enthusiastic endorsements from the first edition of the new project, in 2017, conquered by Geraint Thomas, then confirming its successful formula of short and challenging courses in the 2018 edition won by Thibaut Pinot.

Vittoria Servizio Corse will offer the neutral technical support with a staff of 10 people led by Giovanni Fidanza, and featuring several former riders, whose first-hand experience is a real asset in cycling competitions.

GS Alto Garda’s President Giacomo Santini: “We eagerly welcome Vittoria in the Tour of the Alps’ family. Vittoria Servizio Corse represents an excellence in World cycling, ensuring reliability and safety. The Italian company showed great enthusiasm for the innovative formula of our stage race. We are sure that the upcoming edition will not disappoint the expectations of millions of viewers all over the World”.

Vittoria’s CEO René Timmermans: “Tour of the Alps is one of the World’s fastest growing races in technical and media terms, earning international attention thanks to its spectacular formula. We are happy that Vittoria can be part of the race in the next three years with a team composed of former riders, ready to support the peloton whenever necessary”.
