Known as the "Land of Vines," with an area of only two square kilometers, it’s one of the smallest municipalities in South Tyrol. Its historic center, highlighted by the Gothic parish church dedicated to St. Martin, is located near the river and was often subject to flooding in the past, earning it the name "Little Venice." Here, there is a centuries-old tradition of planting extensive vines that climb the walls of ancient farmhouses (Hausreben).
